Ashland, MA, --- GMT Home Designs Inc., in Ashland MA, and build partner Wagner Development have been honored with the 2024 PRO Award in the category of Gold for Open Concept Kitchen + Dining Room or Family Room or Sunroom.

The winning project included a seamless mudroom addition connected to the home from the farmer’s porch, providing the perfect entryway for a busy family. The kitchen was completely reimagined by opening up a wall, resulting in a spacious area with abundant cabinetry and additional seating. To top it off, the relocated family room now boasts beautiful built-ins, creating a cozy and inviting space.
GMT Home Designs Inc. was presented the PRO Award at PRO New England’s Virtual Evening of Excellence event on May 8, 2024. This year, there were 75 projects submitted for PRO Awards across sixteen categories. A panel of eleven independent reviewers judged the project entries in a blind evaluation. Projects were judged on a 70-point scale with points awarded for how well the project met the client’s needs and enhanced the functionality and aesthetics of the space, innovative uses of materials and methods, the ability to overcome obstacles creatively, the craftsmanship displayed in the work, and the presentation of the project.
