Ashland, MA, January 21, 2008 --- The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has named GMT Home Designs along with Gallagher Remodeling 2008 Regional Contractor of the Year (CoTY) in the Whole House Remodel $500,000 – $1,000,000 category of its annual awards competition. GMT accepts this award alongside Gallagher remodeling of Belmont, MA – the contractor on the project.
Contractors from seven regions around the country vie for CotY Awards on an annual basis, and all regional winners will be eligible for National CotY Awards at NARI’s Evening of Excellence on March 15th in Florida.
An impartial panel of judges who are experts within the industry and associated fields, selected winners based on each entrant’s “before and after” photography and project description. This year seventeen judges worked almost two days evaluating 530 incredible projects. Regional winners will be honored and the National winners and NARI Achievement Award winners will be announced at the Evening of Excellence, March 15, 2008, at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront Hotel.
Judging was based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation. To be considered for a CotY Award, a company must be a NARI member in good standing. NARI members represent an elite group from the approximately 800,000 companies and individuals in the U.S. identifying themselves as remodelers.
Trophies will be awarded at the 2005 Evening of Excellence in Florida on March 15th, where National CotY Winners will also be announced and awarded.
