Odds are you spend a lot of your time in your kitchen. From hosting gatherings with friends and family to cooking and eating breakfasts and dinners galore, from helping kids with homework to setting up a home workspace for yourself — our kitchens are a central location in our homes and a huge part of our lives.
Even as the world and our doors start to open up this summer, our beloved home spaces are just as important as ever. If you’re considering an upgrade to your kitchen or simply looking for a little inspo for a project down the road, here are some designs we’re absolutely loving.
Eat-in kitchens

Having a space to sit down and eat a meal together right in your kitchen is becoming more and more popular. It’s a little more informal than setting up a table in a dining room, and you still get that face-to-face time to catch up on the day’s events or plan for what’s ahead. Plus: styling islands is fun. We’re loving the look of this simple, modern island design with chestnut leather counter stools and some fun lighting fixtures to spice things up.
White cabinetry
White cabinetry is a trend we’ve continued to see more and more. It will always be timeless and clean and brighten up the entire room. Having a simple, neutral color allows you to spruce up the rest of the kitchen with bold accents and daring backsplashes.
Metallic accents

In addition to bold colors, we’re loving metallic accents in the kitchen. From lighting to appliances, faucets, cabinet handles, and more — the options are endless for a pop of gold or brass.
Ample storage space
Having enough storage is a pain point for many homeowners in every room of the house — especially kitchens. In the photo above, we worked with Encore Construction to create these unique pull-out storage bins inside their kitchen island for easy access and storage of fruits and vegetables.

Neutrals will never go out of style, but right now bold colors are having a moment. In particular, blues have become a go-to color for cabinets and walls as they make the home feel welcoming. If you’re not ready to completely dive into a new hue, adding blue accents can make a huge difference in your kitchen.
